We provide the highest quality emergency care

New Jersey Brain and Spine serves as a major tertiary referral center for emergency neurosurgical care throughout the region, including ischemic stroke, ruptured brain aneurysms, brain AVM, brain trauma, spine trauma, spinal cord injury, brain tumors and pediatric neurosurgery.

Our practice annually serves well over 100 emergency patients transferred from other hospitals to Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC). Patients are often transferred to our facility by ambulance, Medevac or long-range air ambulance when necessary.

We evaluate emergency neurosurgical transfer requests from hospitals, physicians, patients and their families 24 hours a day. For an immediate evaluation, please call us at 201-342-2550.

Our Neurotrauma, Stroke and Emergency Transfers Center Experts

Due to the specialization and experience our neurosurgical team offers, we also manage unusually complex cases referred from other hospitals for neurosurgical care and procedures that cannot be performed elsewhere.

Once patients have been transferred to us for care, our physicians and surgeons work closely with a multidisciplinary team of experienced trauma surgeons, critical care specialists and neurologists to offer immediate, personalized care to stabilize their condition. The treatment team will also rapidly implement a comprehensive surgical and medical treatment plan that helps to deliver the best possible outcomes.

We recommend the treatment option that will provide the best result with the least risk.
