I was treated by Dr. Azmi for essential tremor. I have had my first treatment about a month ago. Throughout this process, Dr. Azmi and his staff kept me fully informed of what to expect. The procedure is not easy, but like some of the videos seen online, I also became very emotional after the procedure when I was able to bring a cup to my mouth as well as being able to sign my name. I was not able to do both for about 7 or 8 years. In 9 months or so I will have my other hand treated. Even though the procedure is a tough one to endure, I know Dr. Azmi and his staff will do everything they can to get me through it where I will have much better use of both hands. Thank you all so much! Update Feb 2026: I now have completed my second procedure and now have use of both hands. Again, Dr Azmi and the team at NJ Brain and Spine were amazing. It is amazing to have full use of both hands again!

My husband has Parkinson’s we went to New Jersey brain and spine to meet with Dr. AZMI. We wanted to know about DBS deep brain stimulation. Dr. Azmi Explains everything so we could understand. NJ BS is on top of all the technologies in the Medical field for Parkinson’s. He doesn’t just jump for brain surgery. They do extensive test testing to find out if it’ll even work for you and if it won’t, what will and that’s a refreshing attitude for a doctor and a surgeon. To say we were impressed and that we feel comfortable, we found the right doctor would be an understatement.
