I went for my post surgery follow-up with Nicole Ayala. What a wonderful experience. Starting with a helpful and friendly front desk, and a great nurse’s assistant. Nicole happily answered approximately a million questions my wife and I had in a thorough and pleasant matter. She carefully covered my plan for continued recovery as well. I can’t say that I want to go back, since I rather not have more surgeries, but if I did, this would be where I go.

My husband suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on 11/2/25 Dr. Frankel saved his life that day at Hackensack Hospital doing an emergency craniectomy, Then on 3/3/26 Dr. Frankel did his second surgery a cranioplasty. We can’t say enough good things about Dr. Frankel he’s followed him through this whole journey and our family is forever grateful.

The office is amazing, but it pales in comparison to the staff and the treatment they provide. Everyone I interacted with treated me as a person, talked to me, took the time to explain things, even had time to chit-chat without giving the impression they were rushed to move on. Dr. Vingan was very impressive, explaining my images, what he saw, and most importantly what he saw that he felt didn't matter, as they werent related to my symptoms. He answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly, neither assuming I knew anything nor condescending when I didn't (which I don't lol; I only play a doctor on TV 😜). I left feeling I had a better understanding of my situation than I had in weeks, although I had spent hours in other institutions that shall remain nameless. The room in which we consulted was stunning. I have spent so much time recently in nondescript, institutional bare white rooms with industrial furnishings, NJ Brain and Spine felt like a spa retreat. Full disclosure: I write this after only one visit, and have not yet had the follow ups or surgery. If time and experience gives me reason to update this in any way, I will do so.
