When appropriate, our surgeons may utilize advanced technologies such as intraoperative MRI, neuronavigation, and fluorescence-guided surgery to help maximize tumor removal while preserving surrounding critical structures. Our service coordinates comprehensive care of all neuro-endocrine disorders in concert with a team of dedicated endocrinologists, neuroradiologists, neuropathologists and skull base otolaryngologists to offer consensus based and personalized treatments plans. Surgical approaches are tailored to the patient’s needs but often require endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal approaches that allow for access to the pituitary through the natural corridor of the nose and paranasal sinuses without facial incisions.
