Dr. Clar is one of the most highly trained neurologists in the country for the treatment of movement disorders. After completing her residency at Georgetown University, she completed a two-year movement disorders fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, where she received specialized training in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS).

She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, and other complex movement disorders, with particular expertise in advanced therapies including Deep Brain Stimulation and MRI-guided Focused Ultrasound. Dr. Clar works closely with neurosurgical colleagues to evaluate patients who may benefit from surgical treatment options when medications are no longer providing adequate symptom control.

I give Doctor Clar 5+ stars. She is extremely knowledgeable, with terrific bedside manner. She answered every question, and was clear with her response. She spent an inordinate amount of time with me and recorded her clinical diagnosis for a baseline- something no previous doctor had done on me. Her receptionists are very friendly and the office and waiting area is state of art. I highly recommend Doctor Clar!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Clar's for over 4 years. Every time go to see her I am so grateful that she is my doctor. Dr. Clar is knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding. She always takes the time for me to answer all my questions and concerns. Also she is very thorough. I always know when I walk out of her office that she has done everything she can to help make me feel and be my best. I feel like she is my friend along with being my doctor.

I've been meaning to write a review for a while and started several times but didn't post because I didn't think they explained how wonderful she is So short, direct, and to the point- My quality of life is greatly improved because of Dr Clar and the care she provides. I could go on for pages but that's the bottom line.

Dr. Clar is extremely professional and knowledgeable and has a very warm and welcoming demeanor. She is never in a hurry to rush out the door. Dr. Clar takes her time in discussing issues with my husband who has Parkinson's Disease. She is attentive to all our questions and guides us with care and concern.
