What is botulinum toxin injection?

Botulinum toxin injection is an effective treatment for a variety of movement disorders including myoclonus, hemifacial spasm, spasticity, tremor, blepharospasm, cervical dystonia, spasmodic torticollis and dystonia of the leg and foot. Excessive salvation or drooling resulting from a variety of neurological conditions may also respond to treatment.

What is involved in botulinum toxin injection treatment?
